I've seen this happen before. The guy does not put this thumbs around the bar and it rolls out of his hands. Not good. Guys tell me I like it better that way. Dropping the bar on your chest might make you change your mind.

Yeah Dr- the trick with the thumbless is not having some one give the lift off- you can do it if you can guage the grip - but when someone lets the bar go to you and you have your grip wrong like that- well bad things.
