Default Visuals to incorporate into Visualization Training

Under the spreading chestnut-tree
The village smithy stands;
The smith, a mighty man is he
With large and sinewy hands.
The muscles of his brawny arms
Strong as iron bands.

—Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882)
The Village Blacksmith (1842) Stanza I

The first image is of an adipocytes for those of us wanting to visualize the destruction of fat cells. For me, this will entail taking the hammer and crushing the fat cells.

The second image is of a myofibril for all of us wanting to visualize putting on muscle mass. When I utilize this image, I will want to think of stressing the myofibril with massive resistance until small microbreaks occur in the filament and then the recovery where the myofibril band width is increased.
