Hey Guys

I just wanted to keep everyone posted on the developments. I just received the second denial from CIGNA for the treatment of the mylenopathy. The external neurologist stated that she would not approve any treatment that had not been studied by means of a multi-center, large, placebo controlled, double blinded for safety in those with this particular type of mylenopathy of the central nervous system. I have 14 days to file another appeal where another outside neurologist paid by CIGNA will evaluate the case for treatment.

I am keeping my chin up and prayers said that this particular neurologist will understand that it would be impossible to enroll patients with this disorder into such a large trail. I would be like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

Thank you for understanding and allowing me to vent via VBB.

Take good care everyone.

OMB

Well guys, just an update. It was rejected again by the insurance company. The outside neurologist stated that she would not approve the treatment unless it was a large scale, multicenter, placebo controlled, double blinded study that had the results already peer reviewed. Now for the number of people out there in my shoes who need this treatment isn't that large. So far it has affected the sensory nerves of my legs and arms; and I have neurogenic bladder on top of it. Sexual function is out the window as I need to inject my cock with caverject to get rock hard. Nothing says love to your wife/partner like, wait a minute honey while I jab a needle in the base of my cock. On the flip side of this, at least it is hard as a rock for 3-4 hours. May as well bring over the neighbors and all the hot chicks from the gym to take over when she is finished. Otherwise, I look like the dude from the 40 year old virgin walking around with a hard on all day. How the hell do you explain that to your kids.

Thanks to everyone who has wished me good luck. I am filing the final appeal with the insurance company now and as I am sure it will be rejected it will go back to my company to make the decision. Keeping the fingers crossed that they will approve as they are a major pharmaceutical manufacturer.

Will keep you posted.

Dude you sure got a great sense of humor for someone that just got bad news. That's a great attitude to have. I wish you good luck in getting this treatment.

I am sorry that I didn't see this earlier. You are in my thoughts and hope that your insurance gets in gear to get you your treatments.

That said...have you gotten a second opinion? Curious as a lady I know has MS but shows lesions on her brain. They stated that this maybe a problem but also stated taht she may never have another attack again. Who knows. Anyway...she went to see a Homeopath and has been treated for Heavy metal poisoning. She has been undergoing IV vitamin therapy and has shown some great improvements. Now...to be honest she hasn't gotten a second opinion. She has lost a great deal of weight but then again..she hasn't been a big eater anyway. She doesn't train either.

My point being is this...get a second opinion. Do not give up hope. Use your mind and meditate. Will yourself to better health. I have found that I am able to beat a lot of things by clearing my mind...and visualizing a positive outcome.

Don't be afraid to try a homepathic approach. After all...what can it hurt?

Good luck and take care of yourself. Keep us posted on your progress and above all..stay positive as you are doing now.
