Default mateo's feb 2nd meet results

ok, finally found some time to post up the results to my meet this past weekend. so here ya go.

it was an APF sanctioned push/pull meet with about 23 people entered into it. i was in the 275 junior division (age 20-23) weighed in at 265 the night before.

2 flights was how they did it and i was in the first. before i get to my lifts let me just explain what happened in warm ups. the meeting didn't start till the time the lifting was supposed to start so they gave us 15 minutes after the meeting to warm up. i was 9th out of 10 people to go in the flight so i took my time but that was a mistake. my fir attempt crept up on me so i hard to huury my warm up.

it went like this:
bar x10
bar x10
95x10
135x8
185x5
225x3
275x1
put my shirt on here
315x1 RRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my fucking shirt blew out on my first rep in warm-ups. and the thing about it was, there was only 315 on the bar. it blew right down the middle of the chest plate which totally took me and everyone else by surprise. i couldn't beleive it. after thinking about it after the whole meet was over, i came to the conclusion that since i was rushed, i didn't put any baby powder on my shoulders and underneath my armpits. i was somewhat sweatY from hurrying my warm up and the shirt just stuck to my skin like glue. SO, when i took my first rep down to my chest, the sleeves stuck to my shoulders and the chest plate was pulled apart and just ripped clean down the middle. WHAT A WAY TO START OFF MY DAY HUH!!!

threw on my titan F6 single ply and moved forward. o and i dropped my 1st att 30 lbs so i would scratch on the bench and not be able to do dead.

bench:
1st att: 335-good lift
2nd att: 365-no lift (dumped it on the way back up. had a buddy jack the hell out of that F6 and i just wasn't ready and used to that)
3rd att: 365-good lift (had the shirt a little less jacked and was able to stay under the weight.
all in all, that is a 30 lb PR in my F6 so i'm pretty happy considering the circumstances.

for the dead, i put my dbl ply frantz briefs on and then a metal pro deadlift suit. all i have to say is ouch. pulled conventional like always. o and we had a deadlift bar so that helped alot.

deadlift:
1st att: 515-good lift (smoked it)
2nd att: 565-good lift (was told it flew up faster then my first. head judge gave me a red light, said i hitched it at the top. what happened though imo is the weight was moving so fast that it bounced at the top and the judge mistaken the bouce for a hitch but it still counted)
3rd att: 600-good lift (70 lb PR, and i'll just say it was a grinder. verypumped abou this. this was my goal and i hit it. not sure if i could do anymore. very pleased)

totaled 965 and tied the state record for the deadlift in my junior division. not bad at all.
next on the platter is either another meet down the road 2-3 months or make the switch to strongman for a memorial weekend comp. we'll have to play it by ear and see.
