quotes
this past year my grandmother passed away and it was rough on my whole family. me being selfish i cant go in hospitals. i visited my gma twice while she was in there the two weeks she was there before she died. she could have received treatment but refused because it was her time. the day she died i stayed for 5 minutes before i almost had a panic attack and never got to say goodbye even though they begged me to come back. talk about hard to live with. she was the greatest woman i have ever known except for my mom. but i learned from it that she taught her son and daughters well. and i stumbled upon these great quotes that demonstrated how she lived. she was the most unselfish person i ever met and put everyone first raising 5 kids on her own since her husband died at a young age. church everyday, never complained and lived like there was no tomorrow. but i realized that my mom instilled the same values in us kids. so here are the two quotes that describe my grandmas life.
I am going to concentrate on what's important in life. I'm going to strive everyday to be a kind and generous and loving person. I'm going to keep death right here, so that anytime I even think about getting angry at you or anybody else, I'll see death and I'll remember.
Sometimes it seems like God is difficult to find and impossibly far away. We get so caught up in our small daily duties and irritations that they become the only things that we can focus on. What we forget is that God's love and beauty are all around us, every day, if only we would take the time to look up and see them.
anyone else have any other favorite quotes just in general or to describe how someone made them feel? i think quotes are genuine and a great way to express how they feel. needless to say my moms response was unexpected and brought a tear to my eye. ya i might never cry but it made me.
