Cool My best advice

Over the past few weeks I have been recognizing more and more people asking myself and several other competitors around the gym questions like "is this a good routine?" or "What's the best way to hit my upper chest?", or "is it bad to do this?" It drives me a bit crazy but it demonstrates a very good point. There is so much informational garbage floating around and people are often times just plain confused and frustrated. To cut through this sea of information, (some legit, most not) I offer this advice for what it is worth. STOP OVER-THINKING EVERYTHING!!! You will get lost in the minutia and frustrate yourself endlessly. THe only "wrong" or "bad" thing to do in the gym is something performed with excessively bad form that will almost definitely result in injury. For the most part there is no GOOD or BAD, RIGHT or WRONG; Simply varying degrees of safety and effectiveness. Train hard and smart, have patience with yourself, learn your body and have fun. You will most assuredly make progress toward your goals, whatever they may be. Best of luck and as always,
Peace and good health to y'all ,

M2M

I realized this too, I stopped overthinking in my life in general. And it makes you nuts and you lose confidence because it is like you are 2nd guessing yourself.

You know M2M, even today I still have trouble not giving my best advice or jumping in when someone is doing something that is absolutely insane. I just sit back and evaluate, are they going to do something that is going to result in an injury and if not, I leave it alone. If not, it will not be the last time they come to you for advise and like most us, home life and work life have to be balanced with our training life.

OMB,
It took me a while to not jump in as well. I definitely agree to leave it alone if the individual won't hurt him/herself with what they are doing. And like yourself, I now only offer advice if it is asked. It makes things a lot easier.
Peace and good health to y'all
